How to set up DXS, Accurx and Lexacom at home

Following on from my guide on how to install EMIS at home, here is a short guide on how to install other useful programs on your home computer. Best to be on the VPN when installing and running these programs.

AccuRx

Download and Install AccuRx installer from here. Log in with normal password, should just work as normal. If not, you can follow the guide here. You will need to open it when you have EMIS open for it to sync with your selected patient. Alternatively you can use the standalone web site which has all the features in the browser - Fleming. However if is a bit more time consuming and it also doesn't save into the notes automatically nor automatically select the correct patient.

DXS

Go to this website and fill out the form: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/DXSRemoteaccessrequest/They got back to me quite quickly, within a day. They will have to remotely control your computer to download all the necessary files. Once they are done, you will have DXS on your computer.

Docman 10

Download and install the desktop program from here. Go to this website: https://production.docman.thirdparty.nhs.uk/Account/Login Best to create a shortcut on your desktop to quickly access it.

Lexacom

Download the Lexacom Mobile app.Click below to download on Apple App store:
Click below to download on Google Play store:
Get it on Google Play
Next on the Lexacom program on your work PC, you will need to log in as normal. Go to settings:
Then go to services and input an email and password you want to use with your Lexacom mobile app and click register.

You may get an email to confirm this email with a link to verify it. Then you need to wait for the system administrator of your practice to activate the account (either practice manager or IT manager). Once done, you can then log into the Lexacom app to dictate and send letters. You will need to set up a PIN to send your dictations to your secretaries.
